- Manage all staff in the assigned area to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate, and supervise their activities.
- Coordinate with production, planning, and warehouse departments to ensure timely shipment bookings.
- Manage all export activities and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as relevant local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on new circulars and decrees to ensure smooth export customs clearance procedures.
- Maintain strong, close relationships with all stakeholders (customs, local authorities, customers, overseas suppliers, and internal teams) to ensure effective cooperation, support, and operations.
- Maintain and appropriately share personal knowledge with colleagues regarding all relevant export laws, procedures, tariffs, duties, permits, and restrictions.
- Manage the timely and accurate preparation and submission of relevant administrative documents, e.g., shipping schedules, transport documents, certificates, permits, declarations, packing lists, BOL, C/O, etc.
- Ensure freight rates are negotiated at competitive levels with carriers.
- Effectively control export costs, avoiding extra charges caused by improper handling (such as Demurrage/Detention, storage, and chassis fees) to minimize unnecessary expenses.
- Ensure export C/O complies with applicable origin criteria under relevant local, national, and international legal regulations.
- Understand and assist in processing documents for A42 liquidation/destruction, quarterly/annual forestry reports, and customs finalization reports (Forms 15, 15a, 16).
- Handle and resolve related issues and claims.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned directly by the department manager.
