Job Description
Manage, drive, and take full accountability for department operations and performance in order to achieve the targets and business plan of the company. Ensure products meet quality standards, compliance requirements, and customer/international expectations, while leading continuous improvement to support company business objectives.
- Plan, organize, and drive department operations to align with company business objectives and achieve KPIs.
- Develop departmental systems (SOPs, policies, ERP integration) and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Manage budget, control operating expenses, and allocate resources effectively.
- Lead, train, and develop subordinates while building a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Assess risks, solve operational challenges, and deliver comprehensive department performance reports.
Management Role:
- Develop and maintain quality standards, tolerances, lab testing, compliance requirements, PPS, and customer claim handling.
- Hold full authority to stop production lines if quality requirements are not met.
- Organize the creation of product and quality standards prior to 1st cutting/initial production.
- Organize the development of standard processes and work instructions for all high-risk operational steps.
- Set acceptable production tolerances applicable to both in-house manufacturing and subcontractors.
- Provide decisions and technical solutions for quality standard issues arising in daily production.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee QC activities across all production stages, including finishing, fitting, final inspection, and export packing.
- Manage quality audits, inspections, and corrective actions for both in-house production, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review daily workloads to ensure equitable distribution of inspection tasks among QC inspectors.
- Analyze quality statistics and promptly report critical issues affecting productivity, output, or shipments to the direct director.
- Drive continuous improvement by leading quality projects and collaborating closely with production and engineering teams.
Quality Control:
Requirements
- Vietnamese or Expat, aged 30–55, with a professional, assertive, and high-integrity leadership mindset.
- Degree in Engineering, Technical disciplines, or Furniture Design, proficient in AutoCAD and ERP systems.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in export high-end furniture manufacturing and QA/QC management.
- Deep knowledge of high-end materials (wood, metal, leather, upholstery) and finishing standards.
- Strong expertise in BOM systems, costing, time & motion study (TMS), and quality control processes.
- Excellent bilingual communication (English & Vietnamese), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership ability to manage high-pressure deadlines, train teams, and make critical strategic decisions.
